When Gratitude Becomes Action
Big idea – Gratitude isn’t a feeling we hold inside; it’s a faith-response we live out.
41 Jesus sat down near the collection box in the Temple and watched as the crowds dropped in their money. Many rich people put in large amounts. 42 Then a poor widow came and dropped in two small coins.[j]
43 Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has given more than all the others who are making contributions. 44 For they gave a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she had to live on. Mark 12:42-44
1. Gratitude Looks Like Trusting God with What’s Next

2. Gratitude Is Measured By Sacrifice, Not Size

3. Gratitude moves me to Give My Life Back
44 For they gave a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she had to live on. Mark 12:44
And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Romans 12:1
4. Gratitude Doesn’t Stall It Steps Out
So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. James 2:17
