Generations – Week 1

Every step of growth happens from faith, not feelings.

The Book of Acts is called the Book of Acts because of the actions of the early Church.

Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all.

Acts 2:41

The people who heard their message believed it, so the number of men who believed now totaled about 5,000. Acts 4:4

Yet more and more people believed and were brought to the Lord—crowds of both men and women.

Acts 5:14

How did they do it?

1. The presence of God

He commanded them, “DO NOT LEAVE Jerusalem until the Father sends you the GIFT he promised.

Acts 1:4

2. The Power of God

But you will receive POWER when the Holy Spirit comes UPON YOU. Acts 1:8

3. The Participation of Everyone

All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own.

Acts 4:32

4. Prayer

After this PRAYER, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.”

Acts 4:31
