Why should I live my life as a thank you gift to God?
- Because of who God is
Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness.
Psalms 145:3
Let them praise the Lord for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them.
Psalms 107:8
I will thank the Lord because he is just; I will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.
Psalms 7:17
Fair. Unprejudiced! Always does what’s right . Not manipulative
I will sacrifice a voluntary offering to you;I will praise your name, O Lord,for it is good.
Psalms 54:6
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.
Psalms 118:1
- Because of what He has done
I will praise you forever, O God,
for what you have done.
I will trust in your good name
in the presence of your faithful people.
Psalms 52:9
God has done 5 major things
1st – He created you!
Let every created thing give praise to the Lord,
for he issued his command, and they came into being.Psalms 148:5
2nd – He has offered you salvation so you can live forever with him!
Save me so I can praise you publicly at Jerusalem’s gates,
so I can rejoice that you have rescued me. Psalms 9:14
3rd – He has answered your prayers!
I thank you for answering my prayer and giving me victory!Psalms 118:21
4th – He gives you direction for life
I will bless the Lord who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me.
Psalms 16:7
5th – He came to earth and died for you, so you could be forgiven
13 You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. 14 He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.

- Because of what God promises
For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.2 Corinthians 1:20

- By thanking God in prayer
Always be joyful. 17 Never stop praying. 18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
- By telling others the good news
In that wonderful day you will sing: “Thank the Lord! Praise his name! Tell the nations what he has done. Let them know how mighty he is! Isaiah 12:4
- By giving an offering back to God
11 Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.God. 2 Cor. 9:11
- By serving Him
And so, dear brothers and sisters,I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Romans 12:1
- By living each day as a thank you gift
And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
