WHAT GOD WANTS YOU TO REMEMBER
Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. Psalm 103:2
But be sure to fear the Lord and faithfully serve him. Think of all the wonderful things he has done for you. 1 Samuel 12:24
What to Remember About the Past
1. Remember When You First Came to Christ
Think back on those early days when you first learned about Christ. Remember how you remained faithful even though it meant terrible suffering. Hebrews 10:32
2. Remember to be Gracious
Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Colossians 3:13
3. Remember the Miracles
Remember the wonders he has performed, 1 Chronicles 16:12
4. Remember to be Generous
Being generous will make you happy.
And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”Acts 20:35
Being generous makes sense.
6 Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. 2 Corinthians 9:6
Being generous shows the world what God is like.
13 As a result of your ministry, they will give glory to God. For your generosity to them and to all believers will prove that you are obedient to the Good News of Christ. 2 Corinthians 9:13
5. Remember that God is With You
When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” Isaiah 43:2
6. Remember that God Finishes What He Starts
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. Philippians 1:6
