Miracles – Week 3

Miracles Week 3
How to Pray for Your Miracle

4 Essentials when Praying for a Miracle

1. Pray with Passion

35 As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind beggar was sitting beside the road. 36 When he heard the noise of a crowd going past, he asked what was happening. 37 They told him that Jesus the Nazarene[f] was going by. 38 So he began shouting, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Luke 18:35-36

2. Pray persistently

“Be quiet!” the people in front yelled at him.But he only shouted louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” Luke 18:39

Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. Colossians 4:2

So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him. Matthew 7:11

Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? Romans 8:32

Why be persistent?

  • Persistence shows how much I really want something -it prepares you for the answer.

3. Learn to pray specifically

40 When Jesus heard him, he stopped and ordered that the man be brought to him. As the man came near, Jesus asked him, 41 “What do you want me to do for you?”“Lord,” he said, “I want to see!” Luke 18:40-41

What would you say? If Jesus asked you this… “What do you want me to do for you?” ____________

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Philippians 4:6

4. Pray gratefully

Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus, praising God. And all who saw it praised God, too. Luke 18:42-43
