- READ GOD’S WORD
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.2 Timothy 3:16-17

WHY IS THIS DIFFICULT?
- We’ve had LIMITED EXPOSURE to authentic prayer
- We believe GOD IS TOO DISTANT to hear our prayers
He isn’t close to me
- We believe we’re NOT IMPORTANT enough
We think that God doesn’t value us
- We believe PRAYER DOESN’T WORK
Truth is ….
Prayer can be LEARNED
God is PERSONAL, not distant
You were IMPORTANT ENOUGH for Jesus to die
God DOES ANSWER prayers
But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.
Matthew 6:6
“Don’t worry about anything instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.” Philippians 4:6
