4Lifers – Week 3

Be the friend who:

1. Loves unconditionally

John 15:13 There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

Proverbs 17:17 “A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need.

2. Listens intently

James 1:19 … You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.

3. Speaks truthfully

Proverbs 27:6 “Wounds from a sincere friend are better than many kisses from an enemy.”

4. Encourages faithfully

Ecclesiastes 4:9 Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.

5. Forgives generously

Colossians 3:13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
