Battle Ready – Week 6

I’m Decisive

So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. 16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. 17 Don’t act thoughtlessly but understand what the Lord wants you to do.  Ephesians 5:15-17

Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip.30 They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They invent new ways of sinning, and they disobey their parents. 31 They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy.  Romans 1:29-31

Knowing God’s Will

1. Often there is not an immediate answer

2. God’s will is broader than you think

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:33

4 Wills of God

1. That everyone would know Jesus

For it is my Father’s will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day. John 6:40

2. That everyone would give thanks

Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

3. That we would submit to what’s right

It is God’s will that your honorable lives should silence those ignorant people who make foolish accusations against you.  1 Peter 2:15

4. That we would abstain from sexual sin

God’s will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin. 1 Thessalonians 4:3

Be decisive in two ways:

  • Determine your values

  • Deepen your wisdom pool
