How to Hear from God
15 Days of prayer
The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. John 10:10
27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, John 10:27-28
29 for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. 30 The Father and I are one.” John 10:29-30
God wants you to know His voice because He loves you.
5 ways that God speaks to us:
1.Through the bible
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
2.Through authority
Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged more strictly. James 3:1
3.Through the Holy Spirit
4.Through Godly others
5.Through circumstances
To know the voice, you have to know the shepherd.
If you do the general things, you will know the specific things.
Prayer points:
- Help me today to understand just how much you love me.
- God, I want to know your voice. I need your direction, and I want clarity from you on what you want me to do with the life you gave me.
- Give me the courage to do the things I know I should do so I can understand the complex things.
