I Crave Approval 

Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant. Galatians 1:10

Three ways that you can overcome this issue of people-pleasing:

1st : Resist the comparison trap 

12 Oh, don’t worry; we wouldn’t dare say that we are as wonderful as these other men who tell you how important they are! But they are only comparing themselves with each other, using themselves as the standard of measurement. How ignorant!

2 Corinthians 10:12

2nd: Give people’s opinions the proper weight.

3 As for me, it matters very little how I might be evaluated by you or by any human authority. I don’t even trust my own judgment on this point.

1 Corinthians 4:3 – 4 

3rd : Don’t live for the approval of other people.  Live for the approval of God.
