A strong tower
Psalms 61
1 O God, listen to my cry! Hear my prayer!2 From the ends of the earth, I cry to you for help when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the towering rock of safety3 for you are my safe refuge, a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me. Psalm 61:3
10 The name of the LORD is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe
Proverbs 18:10
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. John 14:27
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
We define peace as an absence of something
Jesus is not saying this he is saying in the midst of the trial I will bring you peace
Peace is to be more God conscious than circumstance Conscious
Then I will sing praises to your name forever as I fulfill my vows each day. Psalms 61:8
