Will It Get Better?
As far as I am concerned, God turned into good what you meant for evil, for he brought me to this high position I have today so that I could save the lives of many people. Genesis 50:20
Three steps you can take to allow God to work whatever evil has been done for your good.
#1 Release your right to retaliate
But now that their father was dead, Joseph’s brothers became fearful. “Now Joseph will show his anger and pay us back for all the wrong we did to him,” they said. Genesis 50:15
But Joseph replied, “Don’t be afraid of me. Am I God, that I can punish you? Genesis 50:19
17 Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. 18 Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.19 Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say,“I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the Lord. Romans 12:17-19\
#2 Interpret your pain through the lens of God’s purpose.
